Reed

Renner Reed, Head Coach - Jr/Sr Boys Basketball

Coach Reed has been coaching at Lavaca since 2012, with previous coaching stops at Greenwood and Watson Chapel. He is the head boys basketball coach and assistant track. He is a graduate from Arkansas Tech University and received his masters of education at Arkansas State University.

Coach Reed is married to Canon Reed and they have two children, Gus And Emet Grace. 

Wyles

Justin Wyles, Head Coach - Jr/Sr Girls Basketball

Coach Justin Wyles became the Head Girls Basketball coach at Lavaca in 2016. Coach Wyles was a High School ALE facilitator from 2016-2021, and he now teaches US History, Sociology, and World Geography in grades 9-12. Coach Wyles was the assistant softball coach until 2018, and has since coached Cross Country.

Coach Wyles is a graduate of Lamar High School (2001). He continued his education at Arkansas Tech University where he earned a BA in Sociology (2005) and a BS in Health/PE (2013), and then proceeded to obtain his Master’s in Educational Leadership (2020) from Arkansas State University.

Coach Wyles is married to his wife Sarah and together they have two children, Brooks and Emma Kate.


Dorrough

Eliott Dorrough, Head Coach - 7th grade Boys Basketball; Assistant Coach - Jr/Sr Boys Basketball

Coach Eliott Dorrough joined Lavaca Schools in 2022 as the Volleyball and Boys Basketball Assistant Coach. He teaches World History in the High School at the freshman level. Coach Dorrough was an Algebra teacher at Ozark Jr High for one year (21-22) before becoming a coach at Lavaca. 

Coach Dorrough is a graduate of Ozark High School (2017). He continued his education at Arkansas Tech University where he earned a BS in Health and Physical Education (2020).


Irby

Melissa Irby, Head Coach - 7th grade Girls Basketball; Assistant Coach - Jr/Sr Girls Basketball

Coach Melissa Irby joined the Lavaca Arrow coaching staff in 2021 when she became the assistant girls basketball coach and assistant softball coach. Before taking on this role, Coach Irby had been part of the Arrow family as a substitute teacher, paraprofessional aide, and then as a special education teacher (starting in 2018).

Coach Irby graduated from the University of the Ozarks in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 2018 with a Master of Arts in Teaching, and in 2019 with a Master’s degree in Special Education. 

Coach Irby has two children who have both attended Lavaca Public schools since kindergarten. Coach Irby and her family are proud to be Lavaca Golden Arrows!!
